Margaret Isabell “Sis” Madden, 96, of Morgantown, passed away at King’s Personal Care Home in Uniontown, PA with her family by her side on March 14, 2016. Margaret was born in Mooresville, WV on March 11, 1920 to the late Noah and Nettie Montgomery Moore. Margaret was a hairdresser at Madden’s Beauty Shop on Hite Street in Morgantown for many years. She was a member of Harner Chapel Church, the Morgantown Moose, and Eagles. Margaret found great joy in camping at Big Bear, sunbathing, and spending time with her family. Those left behind to cherish Margaret’s memory include her daughters, LaRae Porupski and her husband Chuck of Smithfield, PA, and Patty Jo Rhodes of Uniontown, PA; sons Wil Huggins and his wife Judy of Ohio, and Richard Madden and his wife Penny of Westover; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; one sister-in-law Dee Moore of Morgantown; two former son-in-laws Darrell Rhodes and Barry White. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Richard Madden; daughter Debbie White, great-granddaughter Paige Porupski; sister Mary Lindermen, brother Robert Moore; former daughter-in-law Jo Ann Martin, and a longtime companion Edward Thomas. Friends are invited to gather in support of the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 until the time of the funeral service at 4 pm with Rev. Lynda Masters officiating. Following the service, McCulla Funeral Home will provide cremation services and interment will take place at a later date at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
