Paul Lee Nichols, 78, of Westover, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Mapleshire Nursing Home. Paul was born February 13, 1938, in Bickmore, WV a son of the late Carl Nicholas and Goldie Cottrell Gibson. Paul worked as a Master Electrician by trade, and retired as a truck driver for TMC, Inc. He was a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts and was Protestant by faith. Paul is survived by his wife, Betty Lewis Nichols; daughters, Marilyn Olson and husband Robert of Lakeville, MN, Tina Nichols of Westover, and Tonia Burns and husband Ken of Granville; sons, Kenneth Nichols and wife Dawna of St. Paul, MN, James Nichols and wife Sandy of Daybrook, WV, Jeffrey Nichols and wife Becky of Brownsville, PA, Michael Nichols of Newcastle, DE, and Kevin Nichols of Morgantown; sister, Louise Runnion of Procious, WV; brother, William Collins of Bickmore, WV; 23 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by sisters; Leann Smith, Virginia Evans, and Alma Green; brother, Russell Collins; and one granddaughter. Family and friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, March 7th from 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 8th at 10 am with Pastor Craig Falkenstine officiating. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery in Birch River, WV.
