Obituary of Dolores Jean Rafus

Dolores Jean Rafus, age 80 of Morgantown passed away peacefully Sunday, September 25, 2022 at her home. Jean was born December 10, 1941 in Mt. Morris, PA a daughter of the late Anthony Joseph Farace and Wilma Katherine Burke Farace. Jean had been employed as a bookkeeper for Bell’s Wholesale, WVU and HRDF. She was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the St. Ursula Food Pantry board. Jean is survived by her husband, Andy Rafus Jr., one daughter, Andrea “Michele” Rafus of Morgantown, one brother, Anthony Joseph Farace Jr. of Mt. Morris, one grandchild, Tobias Fleece and a work daughter Tina Buckanan and bonus daughter, Katie Kennell both of Morgantown. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Jean’s memory to St Ursula’s Food Pantry, WV Caring, WVU Children’s Hospital or Scotts Run Settlement House. Friends may call at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Mass of Christian Burial with Monsignor Anthony Cincinnati as celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Peace Mausoleum. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
