Sondra Shumiloff Carpenter, 69, of Morgantown went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at her home. She was born January 12, 1953 in Morgantown to the late William and Betty Maxwell Shumiloff. Sondra worked at Mon General Hospital for over 30 years as an aid and in the daycare. Sondra is survived by her siblings: Kaye Saylor, Dorothy Shumiloff and Rebecca (Bill) Page, nieces and nephews that she loved as her own: William Saylor, Lavinda (Richard) Ross, Matthew Shumiloff, Andrew Page, Kayla (Mickey) Glowacky, Sterling Rumer, Gene Rumer and Theresa Robinson, sister-in-law: Scharlet Rumer, brother-in-law, Chuck (Gladys) Carpenter, 14 great Nieces and Nephews and 10 Great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sondra is preceded in death by her husband, James Donald Carpenter, brother: Charles Shields, and brothers-in-law: Gene Rumer and Arnold Carpenter. Sondra family would like to thank her caretaker from Companion Care and Amedisys Hospice, Ashley McMillen. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd. Morgantown, WV 26501. Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Saturday July 9, 2022 from 10 –12pm time of service with Bishop Bill Page officiating. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery.
