Garnetta “Joy” Tamaska, 92, of Westover passed away at Sundale Nursing Home on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Joy was born in Morgantown on December 10, 1929 to the late Frank and Tacy B. Powers Mitchell.
Joy worked at First National Bank and later at Huntington Bank and retired to be a homemaker.
Joy is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles C. Tamaska; and her son: Bobby C. Tamaska.
Visitation will be held at McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6th from 4-8 pm and again on Thursday, July 7th from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am funeral service with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Joy will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son at East Oak Grove Cemetery following the service. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
