Delilah “Polly” R. Cool, age 72 of Seminole, Florida, formerly of Morgantown, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater.
Delilah (Polly) was born February 3, 1949 in Kingwood, a daughter of the late John Miller and Virginia Carr Miller.
Delilah had been employed by the Monongalia County Board of Education as a school bus driver.
Delilah was a devoted wife to Gary for 41 years. They enjoyed traveling, cruises, relaxing in the sand, watching sunsets and being together. The love they share is eternal.
Her children meant the world to her and her love for them was unconditional. She treasured and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma and the ability to spoil all of her grandchildren.
Delilah was a strong, beautiful, hard working woman. She was the Matriarch of her family. She was full of love and was always taking care of everyone else. Delilah always had a smile on her face and made an impression on everyone she met! She enjoyed her time in the kitchen, baking, outdoors and catching up on The Young & The Restless.
Delilah is survived by her husband, Gary Cool Sr., her two sons, Gary Cool Jr. (Heather) and Steven Cool (Genica) both of Morgantown, and her five daughters, Ronda Miller of Morgantown, Michelle Marshall (Gerald) of Morgantown, Connie Hart of Kingwood, Wendy High of Morgantown, and Hattie Cool-Koehler (Randy) of Seminole, FL.
Additional surviving family members:
Brothers Earl Miller, Otis Miller, Hershal Miller, Delmas Miller, Larry Miller, Jerry Miller and Sisters Lena Buchannan, Hattie Hunsinger and Laura Crites (Andy). 21 Grandchildren and 13 Greatgrandchildren.
Preceded in death by her brothers John Miller, Joseph Miller, Charles Miller and Sister Atha Golf.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5th from 4-7pm and again on Thursday, from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Rev. A.C. Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com
