Obituary of Timothy "Tim" Bane
Please share a memory of Timothy "Tim" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Timothy K. Bane, 53, of Crossroads community took hold of the hand of his Savior to lead him home to spend eternity with Him, on April 22, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Tim was born in Morgantown, WV on August 16, 1967 to Loran Bane of Davidson, NC and the late Betty Lou Corey.
Tim loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers play football. The most amazing highlight of his life was when his oldest son, Josh, bought him Steelers tickets for Christmas. He cried tears of joy.
Tim was a wonderful husband, father, son, and friend. Before his illness, Tim worked at Loveridge Mine and was a UMWA Member. He was always so very proud to be a coal miner.
Tim has fought a long, hard battle with Huntington’s Disease. Just like he did his whole life, he fought the good fight, and kept the faith, and was a member of the Bula Baptist Church.
Tim is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 31 years, Billie Jo Hall Bane; daughters: Jessica Kennedy of Surry, VA and Paxton Moore, of Parkersburg, WV; sons: Josh Bane of Blacksville, WV and Zack Bane of Four States, WV; eight grandchildren: Devon, Damion, and Da’Lani Struble, Aurora Bane, Brayden, Arilyn, and Zayleigh Bane, and Lillia Moore; brothers: Bill Hagler of Greer, SC, Scott Bane of Brave, PA, Jeff Bane of Morgantown, William Hinerman of Blacksville; sisters: Tammy Howard of Surry, WV and Ellen Lemley of Wana, WV; and his step-mom: Dee Bane of Maiden, NC; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of friends.
In addition to his mother, Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents: Daisy Moore Harris, and Junior & Mary Bane; brothers: Todd Bane and Jessie Hinerman.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Morgantown Amedisys Hospice for all of the love, support, and care shown to Tim and his family in their time of need.
The family had a private service at McCulla Funeral Home with Pastor Drew Reveal officiating and Tim was laid to rest at Olive Cemetery. The family will be planning a celebration of life service for Tim in the future. Online condolences may be extended to the family at www.mcculla.com.
