To the Johnson family,
I am saddened of the news I received today of the passing of Steve.
Steve and I met at the gym and when we realized we were both Mountaineer fans we became great friends. I had not see Steve for past 6 months due to I changed jobs and my work schedule did not allow me to come to the gym early as before. Never was there a conversation that he did not talk about his kids. He was so proud of them. My heart is heavy and he will be missed. Steve is an angel now looking down on us and his family. ❤️

To the Johnson Family, I was deeply saddened by the news of Steve's passing. Although I only worked with Steve for a short time on the National Museum of the United States Army Project, you could always tell Steve had that Army Mission Accomplishment drive! He will be sorely missed. My heart felt condolences to your family. Respectfully, Darcy A. Brewer, COL USA (Ret)

Steve was a role model for all electricians at MC Dean. His integrity was second to none. I worked for Steve for 3 years on the Silver Line Metro project. When my mom had an emergency illness, Steve told me to take care of my family first. When I would see him throughout the years later he would always ask how she was doing. If you worked hard for a Steve, he always would make sure you had a home at MC Dean. Hunting conversations with him were always entertaining and we would both talk how the big buck seemed to get away. He will be greatly missed. I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. Steve was a great man that has the respect of many. Thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Good evening, it was very sad for me when I find out that Mr. Steven Johnson passed away this weekend. I worked with him on the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Arlington VA for about 5 years. In this project we spent a lot of time together and it's was a exceptional boss. One of the many things he did for me, he did a lot good things, but he did one thing that open a huge opportunity for me in the company, and it was that he promoted me to the Foreman position and enrolled me into the company "Foreman Academy". As I expressed him at the moment when he told me that, I will repeated again "Thank you Steve. Thank you for this opportunity and God bless you and your family". Now he's not with us anymore on his body but he will be in ours hearts forever because his actions. My Lord Jesus have you in haven and give to the family all the strength and fulfill theirs hearts with his love. God bless you all. Sincerely Edwin Rivera.

I'm sorry for your loss. Steve was a co worker and a friend. I met Steve when he first came to M.C. Dean at a waste water treatment plant in Woodbridge, VA back in early 2000. i invited Steve to my Wedding and even though he could not make it he still got me a gift. I have worked with him on several other projects and comforted those that Steve yelled at and told them if Steve was yelling at you then you are doing ok, it's when he stopped yelling when you needed to worry. I will surely miss him and prayers to your family from mine during this time.
Thanks,
Justin Sullivan

Great friend. My years at Core Elementary School and Clay Battelle High School were special because of friends like Steve. My memories of playing sports, sleep overs, birthday parties and many more are all filled with stories about Steve. His laugh was genuine, rare, and contagious. I wish I could have spent more time with him the last 25 years, but I will always consider him one of my best friends. Rest In Peace Steve. Truly one of a kind.
