Obituary of Nancy Rose Harvey
Nancy Rose Harvey, age 78 of Cassville-Mt. Morris Road, Morgantown passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born September 29, 1940 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Thomas Morris and Julia Mayor Morris.
She graduated from Morgantown High in 1958, attended WVU, and graduated from The Morgantown Business College. She had worked at Sterling Faucet Company as a secretary.
Nancy was a long term member of the Monongalia County CEOS and served as a 4-H leader for many years. She married James D. Harvey in 1963, and they then moved to the farm where they farmed and raised their family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
She enjoyed farming, gardening, reading, and tending to her flowers. Nancy was committed in her care of her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and were loved dearly. Nancy was always known for having a smile and a kind word.
Nancy is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane (Harvey) Kerns and husband Wayne of Morgantown and Rose Ann (Harvey) Perroots and fiancée Shane Haught of Mt. Morris, PA; one son Paul Michael Harvey and wife Karen of Morgantown; grandchildren, Jesse Perroots, Michael Kerns, Katelyn Kerns, and Lila Perroots; and two sisters, Cathy Shaffer and Jeanie Trovato.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband James D. Harvey in 2017.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Morgantown on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service with Pastor Rick Sharpless officiating.
