Obituary of Robert "Bobby" McCardle

Robert Lee “Bobby” McCardle, 65, of Morgantown passed away at his home with his family by his side on August 23, 2019. Bobby was born in Morgantown on May 28, 1954 to the late Oliver and Jean McCardle.

Bobby worked as a coal miner and had a love of life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Debra Church McCardle; daughters: Donna Varner (James) of Westover and Jo Blake of Morgantown; sons: Mickey McCardle (Billie Jo) and Jeremy Christoff, both of Morgantown; grandchildren: Preston McCardle, Alexander Varner, Logan Varner, Olivia McCardle, Madelyn McCardle, Jaeleigh Pratt, Brandon Christoff, Hunter Christoff, and Nicholas Christoff; brothers: Ed McCardle and Jim McCardle; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and his dog, Lexi.

The family wishes to thank Bobby’s nurses: Carrie, Lori, and the staff of WV Caring Hospice.
