Obituary of Attilio "Tito" Lucci

Attilio M. “Tito” Lucci age 86 of Westover passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017.  He was born December 1, 1930 in Morgantown, WV a son of the late Attilio and Italia Lucci.

Tito, along with his wife Maxine were the owners and operators of the Westover Dairy Queen for twenty-five years.  Tito was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  Tito proudly served his country as a United States Air Force Veteran during the Korean War.  Tito was a hardworking, devoted, and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Tito is survived by his wife of 64 years, Maxine Lucci, two sons, Robert Lucci and wife Sandy of Westover and Donald Lucci and wife Deb Copeland of Charleston, WV and Hilton Head, SC, one daughter, Dina Lucci of Westover, brothers James “Jeno” Lucci, August “Augie” Lucci, sisters, Tresa Sordi,  Arlene Jernejcic, Mary Ann Dalzot, and Virginia Gibson, grandchildren, Todd Lucci and wife Brittany, Stacey Cather and husband BJ, Matt Copeland, Erica Hamilton and husband JR, Ryan Lucci, Maggie Lucci, Molly Lucci, and Tate Lucci and seven great grandchildren.

Tito was preceded in death by his sisters, Florence Lorenze and Ennis DeMichele, and brothers, Abraham Lucci and Michael Lucci.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover on Thursday from 4-8 pm with a Vigil Service conducted at 7:30 pm to conclude the visitation and on Friday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1 Guthrie Lane, Morgantown from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial with Father Kumar Reddimasu as celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Peace Mausoleum with military honors conferred by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and the United States Air Force military honors.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.McCulla.com.
