Obituary of Roberta Joyce Gordon

Roberta Joyce Murphy Gordon, 64, of Morgantown, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital on June 25, 2017. Roberta was born on December 11, 1952 to the late Roy Murphy and Lucele Heater Murphy.

Roberta was affiliated with the Morgantown congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and quilting, which she loved to make for her grandchildren. She was also an excellent cook and baker, and had a love for animals.

She is survived by her spouse, Bryan A. Gordon, Sr.; two sons, Patrick V. Gaskill and spouse Felicia of Lear Nagle, OH; James R. Gaskill and spouse Wendi of Morgantown, WV; step-son, Bryan A. Gordon, Jr.; two grandsons, Gage and Gaven Gaskill; two brothers Noel A. Murphy of Morgantown and Ron Murphy and spouse Sandy of Buckhannon, WV; and lifelong friend, Vance Gaskill.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her sister Bonnie McCann.
