Rosalie Ruth Rice age 92 of Cassville went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 7, 1924 in Davis, WV a daughter of the late William Carr and Ruth Whitehair Carr Miller. Rosalie was a homemaker and a member of the Riverside Apostolic Church. She loved working on her farm where she won awards and ribbons at the State and County Fairs. Her hobbies were embroidering pillows, cooking for her family and friends, canning, but the loves of her life were all her grandchildren. Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Delores Ghuste and husband Edward of Morgantown, one son Glen Rice and wife Trisha of Cassville, one sister Mary Rosko of Cleveland, OH, one brother, Linden E Miller and wife Shirley of Cleveland, OH, grandchildren, Kimberly Mertz and husband Brian of Pittsburgh, Christine Whyte and husband Jeff of Inwood, WV, Lisa Wright and husband Charles of Morgantown, Joshua Rice and wife Andrea of State College, PA, and Cody Rice and fiancée Molly of Spraggs, PA, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Warren Rice on November 5, 2003, her step-father, Linden Miller, and three brothers, Paul Carr, James Carr and Eugene Carr. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sundale, Ruby ER, 8NE and 7W for all their love and compassion shown to Rosalie and her family.
